B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful Roundup

By Dane

If you haven't heard the sad news, BNTBTBB is closing shop, so you only have a short time to stock up on your favs. For those still interested in sampling, they offer a set aptly named "The Full Monty", offering the lot of their collection (save for Om and Superworldunknown...for some reason).

I've already reviewed Breath of God and Lady Boy, which I still think are the stand-outs, but here are a few short notes for the rest.

1. Dear John - a truly impressive scent. Opens with a superb creamy-citrus accord, followed by a spicy clove, finally drying down to a musk in the Kiehl's-style. A great alternative to the classic men's chypres like Chanel Pour Monsieur. Highly recommended.

2. Dirty - not the most original formula, but pleasant nevertheless. Opens with a citrus-mint, followed by a lavender-mint. Not what I'd consider a fine fragrance, but fine if you want to smell as clean as a freshly brushed tooth.

3. B Scent - I'm not sure where they were going with this. Basically an herbal-geranium-rose accord that would most likely appeal to Lush customers. Why this wasn't just added to the Lush line, I do not know.

4. Cocktail - unpleasantly strong white floral that could easily cover the smell of ammonia-based cleansers.

5. 1000 Kisses Deep - a subtle vanillic floral opening with a creamy orange, followed by a peachy osmanthus and eventually drying down to a woody vanilla. Soft, slightly tropical, and all around pleasant. Another one of my favourites.

6. Keep it Fluffy - fruity pink musk.

7. Two Hearts Beating As One - nice, natural rose and jasmine. Basically Joy in a poncho with unshaven legs.

Breath of God, ye shall be missed.
