Dilemma - I like (love) candy...but do I want to smell like it?
Conclusion - yes, yes I do.
Aimez-Moi is beautiful, there's no doubt about that. A lovely, sweet violet dusted with powdery facets and made unique by an unexpected licorice note. One automatically assumes that when speaking of gourmande or foody fragrances, they would smell of baked goods of some sort. A-M smells like the soapy-licorice Goodies candy you may have eaten as a child (or still do as an adult...no judgement), and now that I think about it, easily fits in the category of foody scents.
In a way A-M reminds me of Etat Libre's Bendelirious - playing contrast of sweet against dry. Bendelirious teeters on the edge of over-sweetness at times, and A-M does the same. Both are brilliant scents, but can be difficult to wear for some of us. I'd hazard a guess that if applied with a spare hand, A-M, like Bendilirious, could make a great addition to my personal wardrobe.
