Bois de Paradis (Parfums DelRae)

A very special guest review from our youngest reader, Benjamin, age 9, of Toronto

It's a very musky scent. Like a drop of water falling off a leaf. It also has a tiny, tiny hint of lime. It also smells like a kiddie pool on a hot summer day. It is also very, very soft.

Year: 2002
Perfumer: Michel Roudnitska
Notes: Citrus, French Rose, Blackberry, Fig, Spices, Woods, Amber

I couldn't have described it better if I tried. Thanks Benjamin!

  1. Most of all Del Rae's are truly 'weird-shocking' creations to me, specially Emotionnelle (wtf?! I simply don't catch such a kind of bizarre scent) and Amoureuse (wow... I love the composition on a paper strip, but that 'ultra-honeyed' didn't worked on my skin at all).
Then, Début. Very nice one, and well done, but maybe too much ladylike-soliflore to my taste.

Sorry that I didn't pay much attention to Bois de Paradis, due to the number of sniffs I spent with all the rest... maybe next time.

the one that seduced me from the very first time -still I'm under its spell- was Mythique!: I find it so sexy, so delightful... beautifully balanced and, in addition to that, perfectly wearable for any occasion -from casual to glam-!
