As much as I love complicated and complex perfumes, I often reach for the simpletons every morning. Un Parfum d'Ailleurs et Fleurs is an unexciting, but easily wearable (by both sexes) neroli-floral. What keeps things interesting and above the rest of the pack is an interesting, dark fruit note and a naughty animalic musk that lasts forever on my skin. Part of a collection of three "garden" inspired scents, UPdA&F is probably the most basic, but still outshines the other two.
I wonder if perfumers think about their customer's daily situation of having to tell someone what scent they're wearing. Un Parfum d'Ailleurs et Fleurs doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, and as far as I can tell, doesn't make any more sense in French than it does in English.
