I remember hating patchouli...something I think everyone can relate to. There are so many negative association brought to mind when smelling it, but lately it's been appealing to me for some reason. I've yet to actually purchase a patchouli-based scent, but I think it may happen in the very near future, and I think it might be Patchouli Empire.
According to the website, PE contains five different types of patchouli with a hint of pepper. I'd have to say that it's more than a hint, but it adds a great contrast. The patchouli used is extremely camphorous...almost to the point of being minty, which adds an unusual chilled effect.
I'm not sure how he managed it, but Brosius created a patchouli that actually smells clean and fresh. Fear not though hippies - PE still stinks, will easily clear the area of any flying insect, and is even composed of all natural ingredients. Well done.
