L'Homme de Coeur (Divine)

By Dane

I can never get enough iris. As my collection of fragrances grows, the iris section is slowly starting to take over. With most genres in perfume, I'm happy owning one or two examples, but when it comes to iris, I find an excuse to NEED all of them!

Which brings me to L'Homme de Coeur. Its not what I'd call a groundbreaking scent...there's nothing strange or dynamic about it, but the simple (yet genius) pairing of iris with refreshing juniper makes it stand out. Divine is a small French company with only two men's fragrances, (the other of which is L'Homme Sage) that have created a great impact with their low-key presence, but truly outstanding fragrances.

L'Homme de Coeur opens with a cold, gin & tonic juniper berry note that smooths out to reveal the beautiful, crisp iris. Everything is very soft and muted, as many iris scents are. A perfect warm-weather scent.

The staff at the Divine store (also sold on their website) are delightful and extremely helpful...which is not something I often say when dealing with fragrance sales associates.

There are a variety of bottles available, mostly splashes, some refillable.
